Two films by Academy® nominated director to screen at KWETU this Wednesday

In a program that started a month ago, the Wednesday film screenings at KWETU have gained momentum.

This Wednesday, May 24th we shall screen two films by Academy award nominee Esson Katja who will be in the house for Q&A session.

Academy Award Nominee for Best Documentary Short, FERRY TALES exposes a secret world that exists in the powder room of the Staten Island Ferry in New York City.

Academy® Award nominated director Katja Esson’s exquisitely made film explores survival, strength and the power of the human heart, body and soul—as expressed through poetry. Filmed partly in Rwanda, it gives an intimate look into the language of the soul and brings us closer to understanding the insanity of war and how art will flourish, in spite of any obstacle.
