Meet Nzinza Eric, an ambitious young Rwandan filmmaker

Nyunga Nzinza Eric, was born on 9th august 1989, in Rwanda. The second born in a family of four siblings, he has been working hard since his early age. As a little boy, Eric’s passion about filmmaking was very evident. Many a time, he would be reminded to break from watching films and take meals.

In 2013, Eric graduated from the prestigious Indian college, T. John where he was pursuing a course in computer applications. While in India, he produced a couple of quality music videos that included the popular hits like ‘Brother from another mother’ by Lucky Lucky ft. Jay Kid (2012) and ‘Tanha Chalatha Mein’ by Lucky Lucky ft. Lucky Jay (2012). These are just but a few of remarkable hits under his belt.

After graduating from the university and coming back home; he realized the gap in the Rwandan action film industry as compared to the international scene. It was against this backdrop that he decided to start producing and directing short films in order to raise the bar higher. Some of his notable works include;

  • I love you, I hate you short film
  • No black no white shorty poem
  • Just for her short film
  • Stop Violence short film

Just like wine, Eric is definitely getting better on daily basis. He has no shred of doubt that, he has all what it takes to confront the teething challenges in  film industry. As of now, the sky is not even the limit for the young creative talent. Eric is destined to break the glass ceiling and rub shoulders with successful film directors in Europe and Hollywood.
